Day 1 - Dogsledding

See how huskies love to run as you take a ride over six to ten miles of open pastures as well as groomed, wooded trails depending on the weather. You'll be introduced to an experienced dog team, learn how to harness and hitch the team and then it is off for a thrilling dogsled ride sure to provide memories to last a lifetime. This fabulous dogsledding tour is two hours long and offers a very hands-on experience for a popular but unusual winter sport.

Day 2 - Alpine Skiing or Snowboarding

Learn to Ski or snowboard in a day at Jay Peak Resort. This package includes full equipment setup, 2 hours of instruction and a beginner zone ticket. Four lifts access 80 acres of gentle wide, easy to maneuver slopes, including the most intermediate and beginner glades in the East. The Beginner Zone at Jay Peak Resort also includes two freestyle areas (the Grom Park and Rail Garden), designed for entry-level skiers and riders.

Day 3 - Snowshoeing through the Green Mountains

Discover the silence and serenity of the woods on a guided snowshoe tour. No previous snowshoe experience is necessary. Whilst snowshoeing through this 150 acre tract of pristine forest with mountain vistas and glacier rocks, you'll keep an eye out for moose, deer, wild turkeys, foxes, white snow-rabbits and other wildlife who call the Jay area home. You'll learn to identify tracks in the snow, trees with bear markings (don't worry, you won't be seeing any bears in the winter) and as an added bonus, you will go "geocaching" searching for hidden treasure using a GPS system. This tour lasts about 3 hours ending with hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows around a campfire.

Accommodation

You'll be staying at a fully equipped Coach House vacation rental apartment in the center of the delightful New England Town of Montgomery Center in the foothills of Jay Peak. All apartments are equipped with kitchens so guests can cook for themselves or if cooking isn't part of the holiday plans, then there are a number of lovely restaurants within easy walking distance.

This vacation package includes:

2 nights lodging at The Coach House including Rooms tax.

All equipment, lessons and ski lift tickets for 1 day at Jay Peak Resort

Snowshoe equipment rental and trail guide.

Dogsledding lesson and ride.

It does not include transportation, food or items of a personal nature.

Prices

The cost is $375 per person for 3 days/2 nights inclusive of the activities above in the Jay Peak area. All prices are quoted in US dollars and are based on a minimum of two persons staying in a 2 bedroom apartment. This Vermont winter vacation package includes all equipment rentals and lift tickets where necessary. It does not include transportation to Vermont or The Coach House. It is assumed that guests will have their own vehicles as taxi/bus service in the Jay Peak area is extremely limited. Detailed maps and directions will be given to participants to get them to their winter sporting destinations. It does not include food or items of a personal nature. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to book. Final payment is due 21 days prior to arrival. We accept Mastercard and Visa. If a booking is cancelled, the company reserves the right to retain the full deposit of 20%. No refunds issued due to weather conditions which might affect dogsled tour, snowshoeing tour and learn to ski conditions.
