Snow Shoe Trail Tours
New for the 2005-2006 winter season are both guided and self-guided
snowshoe tours in the Jay Peak area offering 100 acres of snow shoe
trails on private property just 3 miles from Jay Peak Resort. Here
you can enjoy lovely mountain vistas, the total calming silence
of the woods, and always the possibility of sighting deer, moose,
wild turkeys and other wildlife in this pristine forest. You can
choose from moonlit snowshoe walks under the stars (or snow as the
case may be) or daytime treks where your guide will identify animal
tracks for you as well as the botony of the area. Your tour ends
with a snack and beverage around a campfire.
So come and snowshoe in Vermont. No previous snowshoeing experience
is necessary. If you have your own snow-shoes, that is fine, but
if not, no problem. We'll have a pair of modern snowshoes and before
you know it, you'll fall in love with this winter activity which
is growing in popularity by leaps and bounds.
Prices:
Snowshoe Rentals - $12
Guided Tour $25 per person includes snack and beverage around a
campfire. The tour will take 2 1/2 hours during which you'll learn
about the history of snowshoeing.
Self-guided Tour -$5.00 per person for the map and points of interest.
