February 4, 2012 NEK Snowmobile Drag Racing Registration 8:30 am. Races start at 9:45 am. $20 entry + $10 insurance fee, general admission $5. We partner with NEK Drag Racing to bring you head to head racing on a 660’ track located on Rte 114N in Lyndonville. The track is accessible by snowmobile via VAST Corridor #52 between Lyndonville and East Burke. These events truly spark the camaraderie shared by those who love the sport of snowmobiling and drag racing competition. Prize money, trophies, hot dogs, burgers, and lots of fun! February 7, 2012 Brousseau Mountain by Moonlight 7:00 PM $10. The snowy hilltops of the Northeast Kingdom come alive with light and shadow under a winter full moon. Northwoods staff will lead a tour up Brousseau Mountain, located in the northern reaches of the Kingdom. The gradual 3/4 mile ascent, gaining 600 feet in elevation, is beginner friendly and leads to a magnificent overlook of Little Averill Lake and the mountains beyond. Meet at the Brousseau Mountain trailhead in Norton. Registration required.
